Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's

Dom - What are those carbon knobs on the 6:3 limited? And how about those engine plate covers?

Re: American Tackle G2 Carbon Handles

Nice. Gonna have to use one on my next build. I really like the Batson carbon grips. Even more so than Mudholes.

Re: New Poison Adrena

i didnt catch any fish today on the poison adrena 6'10 med glass but i did throw a plethora of different baits with it. Over all i really like the rod very light and nimble for sure, but not as crisp as the 6'10 m + which i expected because this has the glass mix in the rod. The rod is definitely m...

Re: Coronavirus "Covid-19"

Crap. I just received a pair of Chi-Fi in ear monitors. I didn't even think about it, even though I'm well aware. Dang it ](*,). Opened up that package and stuck em right in my ears. Hopefully the virus can't survive that long trip.

Re: EVA handles ... yea or nay ?

One more reason I like cork is that I can feel its actual legacy. The quality of cork improves with each harvest of the tree, and cork trees are only harvested every 9 years after an initial 25 year growth period. (Which makes old cork trees incredibly valuable because they produce the best cork.) ...

I prefer top notch Eva on rods over top notch cork, but beggars can’t be choosers ;) . OG Cork knobs all day even with Eva handles.
That's just it. There's different qualities of Eva, just like cork. Even more so with carbon. As mentioned above, the stuff nfc uses is garbage.

I took a full ladle while it was boiling and poured it slowly over the handle at the crease, into the kitchen sink. Did it 3 or 4 times. I tried to keep it laying flat across the sink, to avoid getting it on the reel seat and the butt, because high temps can soften epoxy.
I shall try

Re: EVA handles ... yea or nay ?

All EVA and Carbon for me. I prefer the feel of it, and it doesn't start to look like I wiped my butt with it after use. As for performance, I don't think we'd notice much of a difference, all other things being equal. I feel like I've responded to this same thread multiple times :-k

Re: Rod for Steez

I'd opt for the NRX between those two choices. I like the OG Steez platforms for medium to heavy resistance baits.

Re: Best lipless crankbait in da business

Another vote for jackall tn - rock them in 50, 60, and 65 sizes. Seem to have the most success with the normal version and still very good success with the FT. Anyone using the trigon version and able to compare? The LV500 is phenomenal too; I just wish they had a smaller version for finesse-ier/sh...

Re: EVA Rod Handles

Dents can be lifted by pouring boiling water over it. This won't work for cuts or chunks missing. Im just talking compressed areas. For real? A guy I know in Japan told me about that one. It took a few tries, but it worked for one creased area on a swim bait rod I used to have. Not sure about hypal...

Well I just got a great deal on a new Daiwa sv tw 1016sv-sh for 350 shipped!
You're going to dig it. If you really want to enhance the lower end capabilities, look into adding a Zpi Nrc001-m spool down the road.

Re: New Poison Adrena

How much PA is better than Expride in terms of sensitivity and is their sensitivity consistent across the lineup? I own a few gen2 Expride and, while I like them all, I feel some are more sensitive than the other...now I have my eyes on these PA rods and wonder how much better the extra 70~$ can bu...
