Re: ICAST 2019

I know Daiwa has multiple new models to debut. I'm excited to see them and try them out. Yes indeed. I've fished quite a few of the new introductions, good stuff coming for sure from our Daiwa friends =D> New things?...do you know if Daiwa will be bringing out a new line of Zillion Rods to accompan...

Re: '19 Steez ct sv tw

KTF millionaire CT spool fits nicely in the Steez CT. It is quite controlled in the Steez where I used the mag brakes on 6-8/20. On 4/20 I had a minor backlash (wind at my back). The spool, perhaps naturally, did very well in the Millionaire with mags on 5/10. Btw I used the Avani PE shore master c...

No mention of Fenwick Japan? Some very, very nice rods in the lineup.

Re: New Poison Adrena

Caught one swimming a jig. !! Huge mouth skinny body. Wanted to buy him some food 😆 Anyways. I didn’t want a reaction bait rod. And I’m trying to want to like this rod. The wife said it’s so light and she doesn’t like it because of that. But I paired it with an Antares and I’m thinking (take a deep...

Re: questions from a newbie

There's really only one way imo, and that's to get on the water and put in your time. Scout the waters you want to fish, and determine where you have access from the shore. Unfortunately, the only way you will know if there's bass in those areas is it to fish them as often as possible. As already me...

Re: New Poison Adrena

Got to cast and play with it today at Joe's in MN and man what a rod. Had the 73MH paired with a Curado DC to play around with outside and man it absolutely bombed casts. Definitely feels better than the previous generation by a mile. Any one who doesn't like the ci4 reel seat will probably be both...

Re: SV Light Limited

SS Airy hollow poor man's Steez fanatic here. Was never bothered by the feel of my SS SV reels, hence added an SS Air w/ Alphas air spool, and the SV Light to the arsenal. I do wish the SV Light came w/ Bass or Die knobs out of the box. Gorgeous. I need to get a light box. Which levelwind cap is th...

Re: SV Light Limited

From all the 32mm spools, I prefer the SS Light Limited the best. I'm probably the odd ball here, but I didn't like the reel as much as I wanted to. Though not as bad, it still has that somewhat hollow and toyish feel that the SS SV has. The paint wasn't all that great either. Just my 2 cents. I ke...

Re: Good jerkbait that’s better than a 110 or pointer?

Jerkbait fishing is so much about so many things, other than the bait itself. Try a Jackall Squad Minnow 80. It's smaller than what you've been using, but it's what works best for me when I don't want to put a whole lot of thought into working the bait.
