Re: Dobyns 806cb question

Is the 806 too much rod for 6xd's or similar? I've been waiting for this to come out before deciding on the 805 or 806.

citica E or curado G

I'm going to buy another reel. The citica is a bit cheaper but was wondering if anyone has both and can compare?

Re: TW reviews getting to me

I don't have any 50 size shimano's so can't comment on that. I have curado 201e's, a revo skt, and a tourney pro. I really like the tourney pro but I think it has very similar performace to other reels I have. It's light and feels good in my hand. It takes a little more adjusting to get it dialed in...

Crankbait Spinning Rod

I recently bought my father a 7'4" crucial crankbait spinning rod. I wanted to get him a good all around crankbait rod but he only use's spinning tackle. The rods ok but he doesn't like the foregrip because he keeps loosening it while holding/casting the rod. I'd love to get him something that can t...

Re: Best spinning reel(s) on the market

This is an interesting thread. I'm new to this forum and have never really seen a discussion on a reel's weight having a damping effect and lowering rod sensitivity. Wouldn't then simply gripping a rod have a much larger damping effect than any reel? I'm still not convinced that vibration=sensitivit...

Re: Best spinning reel(s) on the market

Stradic FJ is by far my favorite, 2nd is a ci4. I've never heard of a reel affecting sensitivity though, only rod and line.
