Re: New Tatula is $100

How does the dial placement feel? Does it rub your finger or have any weird edges you can feel? It depends on how you grip your rod and reel. If you have three fingers in front of the rod trigger like me, you will probably feel the mag dial. If you have two fingers in front of the trigger. you migh...

Re: New Shimano Caius casting reel

You can get a Curado 150 MGL off Ali for $140...why would you buy this? The Curado 150 MGL is a far superior reel and a tank. I'm using mine for saltwater striper, halibut, and bat rays without a single issue. Casts jerkbaits and paddle tails like a rocket. I put Daiwa's ultimate tournament drag gr...

Re: New Shimano Caius casting reel

This reel is 40 bucks more than the previous reel so i don't think it's going to sell very well. Why the hell did Shimano use brown on the reel. I checked out the previous reel but I did not like the comfort of it. The new one looks more like a Curado 200 without the wider nose. I have never used a ...

New Shimano Caius casting reel

So now a reel with a composite frame is 30 bucks more than the SLX with an aluminum frame and silent tune. With that said, I am going to try one out. It looks like it is going to be comfortable to grip.

Re: Worth fixing Shimano Chronrach Ci4+?

If you decide you don't want to fix it--I'll buy the worm gear off you if it's still in good shape. I have some Chronarch 100D7s that uses the same worm gear and the part is discontinued. I think Shimano is still redoing there parts numbers. Some of the parts listed on there web page that says disc...

How about another Tatula. The new BF 70 is coming. That makes 12 Tatulas listed on Daiwa's web sight.
This is based on the Alphas Air TW, not the tatula 70/80 frame.
The new Tatula BF 70 is already available on Tackle Warehouse. It has a BFS spool.

Re: All new steez sv tw

I noticed the reel comes with a special wrench for turning the zero adjust knob. Hoping the next Steez A has this frame and side plates. I like the narrowed down nose and smooth palm side plate.

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.

Yeah that’s right. But it’s still a 70 size frame for the slx line up. That’s all I meant. Slx dc xt is pretty much the only Shimano reel I use the most aside from my zillion and steez reels. If the new slx mgl came out with that frame it would be much better. Disappointing the new frame doesn’t lo...

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.

https://youtu.be/XnflhlnCi2k?si=Ldd-RedZpRiyg9u- In the video, JP says the new SLX 70 has a 70 size frame. Looks like the standard 150 size frame to me. That’s what I thought too…. It doesn’t look like the slx dc xt frame that is a 70 size. I’ll have to check again Your SLX DC XT basically ha...

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.

I'm interested to see what the durability is like--everyone always comments that after a year of use the SLX are not nearly as smooth as the Curado counterpart. If the longevity and durability is there...this might be a low key killer. At one time, I owned a regular STX, a STX XT, a STX MGL, and a ...

Re: Third generation Tatula is coming next month

I had the chance to check out the new Tatula. I mounted it on a Tatula rod. As I expected, I can feel the mag dial when I grip the rod and reel. It is just as bad, if not worse than the other models. I did not like the contoured thumb rest either. I could feel the two "fangs" on the end of my thumb....
