Re: NEW: Daiwa Tatula 100 (based off Steez)

Mag dial does not look like it is recessed as much as I was hoping for. WTF Daiwa!

Re: Lew's Pro G

So , I was at dicks today. They had the Pro G on clearance. $169 (not a spectacular price).... still would like to know what's replacing it , lol. Nothing. Its just discounted for a limited time. Over the winter TW had the Pro G listed as clearance but now it is listed as closeout. Doesn't closeout...

Re: ICAST 2018 Rumors

There is a vid on Daiwa's Facebook page with Ish Monroe showing the new Tatula 100. It does not have the recessed mag dial like the Steez. :crying:

Re: Quantums S3 series baitcasters

I tried out a new Smoke S3. The reel looks kinda cheap, especially the star drag. The retrieve felt and sounded crappy. The line guide hits my thumb when it goes back and forth and I don't like how the palm side brake dial feels against my hand. I also have this problem with all the Doyo and Banex r...

I should have been more clear.Just wondering if it is made in Thailand where the Daiwa's are made or in Korea where the Doyo's are made.

Re: New Daiwa?

I had one in my hand yesterday at our Daiwa Days at our local tackle shop. It is a Daiwa and for a $99 reel it felt good, it was very smooth but here again it's not made to compete with anything other than those in its price range. Talking to the reps Daiwa wants to have a good piece of the market ...

Re: New Tatula 150

So my friend received his Tat 150 yesterday so we compared it to the original 100. As I suspected the frame and side plates were exactly the same. What I didn't expect though was that the spools were the same too!(the part #'s were the same) The 150 is listed as holding more line then the 100...

Actually, the Pro G, along with a couple of other reels are listed as clearance reels. The Pro BB-1 is a closeout reel. Not sure what the difference is.

Re: Braid That Keeps Its Color

Vicious No-Fade Braid. Last year I used it on my Chatterbait reel. I caught over a 1000 fish on it and it is still green.

Re: Baitcaster spinning backwards

I had the same problem with my Steez A. The handle would go backwards during a hook set. It happened about once every fishing trip. I sent it to Daiwa while still under warranty but they charged me $16.00 to clean it and $18.86 to ship it back to me. I called to complain and they said the warranty ...

Re: Reviews out on new 2018 Ryoga?

The micro gear ushering into lower end models was a spot on comment. Reel companies need to offer something new in order to keep sales up... They are always looking for a new tech to offer and I bet money the next gen Zillions will offer the micro gears and the Steez style sideplate, hell they are ...

Re: Quantum reels

I bought some Quantum's when the company first started but they did not last long so I gave up on them. I pretty much used Shimano and Daiwa since then. The last few years though I have problems with there latest models. I have had issues with my Metainium, Chronarch, Curado 200i, and Curado 70. I e...
