Re: If you could pick just ONE jig...

Mine would be a 1/2 poison tail jig with a watermelon skirt and matching keitech swing impact fat.

Good for dragging, swimming, flipping and pitching.

Re: Favorite Hollow Body Frogs

Mine is the traditional Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect frog. Works great! I clip one of the legs by 1/4" to make walking easier.

I believe this was footage from Big Mouth. Nice underwater footage of bass striking lures:

Re: Poison tail jigs: EWG or round bend?

Poison tail is the only jig I throw. If you are using it as a swim jig, I would suggest a round bend hook. The ewg's are too light to be thrown into most types of cover. Go 4/0 minimum in my opinion. Best of luck. +1. I get mine from Siebert Outdoors. Great guy to deal with and awesome quality jigs...

Re: Feedback on River 2 Sea S-Waver

My top color is Lite Trout. It gets bit even in clear water. Go figure.

Awesome thing about this bait is fish will follow it and strike right at the boat.

Great search bait too. The big girls will expose themselves and follow the bait just out of curiosity.

Re: Line suggestions for cranks/jerkbait/topwater

For mono I like Sufix Siege. I've since switched to 30lb power pro SS8 with Siege 12lb leader for cranking and topwater. Not the popular choice but I prefer braid as mainline.

Re: Reeling Demographics... are you a righty or lefty

The results are surprising..

I'm one of the right handers who reels left, solely for the fact that I grew up fishing with spinning reels. It just feels more comfortable to manipulate the rod and play the fish with my strong arm.

Re: Shipping rods

I've used UPS for shipping rods. Cost is reasonable at around $21 for 7'-7'3" rods (about 7'6" tubes).

No experience with Pro Cure, but have you considered JJ's Magic or Megastrike?

Re: Favorite Top Water Popper / Spitter & Color ?

I just scanned the posts and didn't even see the classic Rebel Pop-R! Bone with red mouth.

I have gunfish and a rio rico, but haven't caught anything on them yet. Gotta put more time I think...

Echo the dx795 or dx745 depending on the method. If punching is in your future, go 795!

Re: Poppers at night

I actually do the opposite.

Bigger walk the dog baits push more water, so I use them in windier conditions so fish can find them easier.

In more calm conditions, I like a popper where I can use short, quick pops and throw less water.

One more vote for the Tourney Pro. Love mine. And my BB1's.

I haven't tried the Pfleuger.
