Re: How many rods/reels do you actually use

I have found that no matter how many I have, I just need one more.

I pointed that out as the Extreme Mission is a much nicer rod, quite the gem from the X7 line!
Shorter rod in the X7 line that would shine for topwater would be the Super Rekkai. The X7's are gold.
I use the super rakkai for frogs but not topwater treble baits
Larger top water.

Re: High end frog rod: heavy-ish surface veg

For heavy-ish surface veg I vote Black Jungle Power Versatile. Short handle, casts frogs well and is powerful with moderate action.

Interesting reviews on the Crank FC and Sniper. What applications would you change from Sniper to Crank FC?

I have a Presso 1025 on my Presso 62ML and it's a great combo.

I have a WP slant bridge and the WP 2. While legendary for mag topwater and swimbaits, they also excel at big spinnerbaits, cranks of all depths (one of my faves for a 3/4oz squarebill), swim jigs and chatterbaits. If it moves horizontally and is 1/2 oz or over, a WP will work.

Re: Your favorite rod taper for Jerkbaits

I really like the med/fast rod action for moving baits, but with jerkbaits I prefer the fast action. Bought a MB oneten and couldn't be happer.

Im concerned about them taking 3-5 days to ship my order.
Seems like TW is getting slower and Pro Bass & Cablea's are getting faster. Go figure!
