Re: 2013 Daiwa Presso Spinning Rods

I bought the 6' ul (2 piece) about a week ago. So I far love the action on it for 1/16 plastics, casts well too. I dont really know too much for sensitivity; its so cold here and I was wearing gloves during use. But nonetheless I was still able to feel crappies pick up my jig in real cold water. I h...

viento return?

I just got my black friday catalog from cabelas, and it is advertising vientos for 99 dollars. BUT, the reel has a swept handle and drag star, and looks like the one on my zillion. I know my older ones did not have swept handles. Anyone know whats up?

Re: sooo...not happy

I didnt have a receipt when my verdict broke in the middle of a cast, and was told the same thing. I talked to them a bunch of times, but was S.O.L. I was unimpressed by how it was handled, I bought the rod at a sports show and didn't get a receipt. They didnt sympathize with me one bit and was told...

A phenix recon 715 would be just about perfect I think.

Re: what bothers you most when you place stuff up for sale?

The thing that grinds my gears the most, is when I post something on a local forum and someome will comment about how overpriced it is, or how they bought the same thing from so and so for some ridiculous price.

Re: What is your go to braid?

I haven't used many braids. Only power pro, sufix performance, and spiderwire stealth. Of those three I like the stealth. I think it casts the best and have never broken off anything. No problems with knots slipping either. I honestly only use braid for frogs and occasional flipping though. Although...

Re: Chronarch 101B Questions and Fair price.

Im pretty sure the chron 50 has the same handle a 200e would have. I have honestly gotten 5-6 lb bass out of really thick weeds like 5 times. And a couple 5 lbers out of docks. I've also gotten big walleye, big pike, and big bowfin. I know it could easily handle pitching to heavy cover. But if i was...

I personally like a black or black and purple double colorado spinnerbait. But black plastics work for me too

Re: Chronarch 101B Questions and Fair price.

But for flipping I would get an e6 I think.

The 50e is an awesome reel, but i thought it was geared for lighter line. I throw 12-15 lb fluoro on mine and its excellent

Chronarch 50es have the same big grips that the 200e's have in case you didn't know.

My phenix recon 715 is sorta a parabolic action. It bends quite far, but still has a.fast action

If your fishing jerkbaits a lot, take a look at the st Croix legend tourney jerkbait rod.

Re: need frog/flip rod help

Thanks for all the advice guys. I already own a 715 recon and love it, but I wouldn't really use it for frogs. I would like a m1, but I need the rod now and I dont know when those will be released. I own some dobyn champs as well and like them. But, I'd like to try a new brand. Im honestly kind of l...

need frog/flip rod help

Hey everyone, I need myself a new heavy cover rod. I'm currently using a heavy action carrot stick, but I have problems getting fish out of cover. I do a lot of frogging this time of year, and I don't like a long rod for that technique. I also do a lot of pitching and flipping to laydowns and would ...
